Pascua

Here in Argentina, the pascua (easter) is kinda weird. They celebrate a whole week! here they have the semana santa, which is basically a long weekend of ¨remembering Christ¨ But really, nobody here really does too much of that. they just take advantage of the long weekend without work! And as for Easter Sunday, its basically a normal day. The big day here is Friday (the day christ died) but sunday they were all back on the daily grind, doing what they always do. We need to always remember that Christ LIVES. its not something casual or something we should take advantage of. Through him we can be resurected too!!!
We need to put our trust in him, our confidence in him, or love in him, our focus in him, and keep our vision always on him!! He is risen. He is perfect. He is our Savior! Only through him can we become what we want to become!

I invite everybody, as we aproach general conference, that you can all get on your knees and thank our Father for the sacrifice of giving his only son to us that we may have eternal life, and make some goals to be edified while listening to the conference talks and the words of our beloved profet!

Pray for the speakers and especially President Monson, that they may be inspired to help up become better people. If President Monson can say everytime conference ends ¨Ive certainly learned a lot on how I can become a better person¨ than Im sure we can all do it too!!!

I love you guys! Happy Conference!! Stay cozy in your house and eat a cinnimon roll in my honor!

Nothing Clever

This week was pretty solid. We had another crazy rain storm and I think they get worse every time! There was a lot of lightning and hail, too! We were just about to leave to work but I suggested that we waited 5 minutes to see if the little drizzle would pass, or multiply. and boy did it multiply! for about two hours we couldn´t leave!! And when we did, we were in rivers!!! There was absolutly no luck in trying to teach, cuz everybody was inside and didn´t want to get wet, So we decided to go buy some sandwiches. While we were eating there was a lady on the radio begging for help cuz her casa got flooded. so we wrote down the direction and headed over. But we couldn´t do anything cuz we have to wait til it stops raining for like 2 days to be able to help or something like that..?

This week as I finished Alma, I found a really solid scripture that made me think..  Alma 60:21
Or do ye suppose that the Lord will still deliver us,while we sit upon our thrones and do not make use of themeans which the Lord has provided for us?

Thats so right!! we have to make use of the things God has given us! we cant just sitting around all day waiting for him, when he has given us the means to do stuff ourself!!

Then it goes onto say in 23

We need to take action with our lives and clean our inner vessels to be in harmony with him!
Do ye suppose that God will look upon you as guiltlesswhile ye sit still and behold these things? Behold I sayunto you, Nay. Now I would that ye should rememberthat God has said that the inward vessel shall be cleansedfirst, and then shall the outer vessel be cleansed also.

Christ is coming, and SOON!!! We NEED to be ready! The church is putting a lot of empesis on phisical and spiritual selfsufficiency!! WHY? Because we need to be prepared spiritually and phisically for when he comes, and we don´t have too much time left to prepare!!!!

I love you guys, hope you have a great week!
prepare!!

Hey

So these past two weeks have been pretty average in the life of a missionary. We have been searching for lots of new people to teach and trying to get all of the inactive people to come to church again! we usually have about 30-35 people in the church, but last week we got up to 60! NICE!
I hit my 18 month mark. thats weird. I am officially OLD in the mission. the sister missionarys from my district in the MTC are already home!!
Truthfully I cant really think of anything too exciting to write about or a funny story to tell, sorry friends.
Keep up the good work in life and go to church this week! Share a Mormon Message on Facebook!!!
