What a week. Elder Iongi and I set a comp goal to get 20 contacts every single day here. And we did successfully! 146 people were contacted this week. One day before lunch, we had 22, then ended the day with 38 and another day was 40!

Silvia´s baptism is this Saturday. We got all the paperwork filled out and she is ready to go! Wish us luck and send prayers. As for other investigadors, One girl named Brisa is still progressing, but she broke my pinky promis to come to church this week. You don´t break pinky promises, those are sacred. But she loves talking to us!

My comp is awesome. We have a really good time everyday, and we work hard too. Sometimes during the lessons, we will say something quick in english to eachother, and see if we can make the other person laught. He wins everytime. We also have awesome Rap battles inbetween lessons. (During our 30 minute walks between houses. Idk why we dont have bikes here.)

It was extremely hot this week, like always. A member said that one week, Santiago was the hottest part of the world, so thats fun.

Pday has been good. We played some basketball in the morning (yes, im still undefeted.) And i still havent recieved my 800 peso reimbursment so I had no money to buy food at ChangoMas today. Looks like Ill lose some weight! Nice!!

Tuesday at 11:30 at night, my 7 hour bus ride left for Salta so I could finish papers, that way ill be legal in this country. Once we got there I met up with an amigo de la CCM (shout out to Elder Ellis) Then we went and waited, and waited, and signed a paper, and waited, and waited, and answered a question or two. Then we got back on the bus and made the 7 hour trip back to my area. That was a long and kind of boring/useless day.

We had a good zone meeting on Friday, where one of the better looking hermanas in the zone told me ¨Elder, me gusta su corbata(SWORDFISH TIE NEVER FAILETH!!) Then at night, we made the 1 hour and 15 minute adventure out to a guy named Hno. Leborio. He wasn´t home, we think he might be dead because he is really old.

Saturday was my comps last lunch with our investigador we baptized. They made millinesa and it was awesome. Then they swapped words of love and thanks for eachother, it was really nice.

Sunday, E´Echeverria and E´Connolly packed up their stuff. Elder Ech finished his mission and Elder Connolly had 7 months here, so they were both definitely leaving. Church was in the night because a bunch of the members in the ward got back from their temple trip to Buenos Aires in the morning. We had 7 Investigadors come and it was Silvias 3rd, so she is ready for her baptism this saturday!

Today, at 3 we were in the bus termanal, Elder Echeverria left to salta, and Elder Connolly left to Tucuman to be a DL. Then after about 6 hours of waiting, Elder Hogge and I recieved our new companions. My comps name is Elder Iongi, He is a Tongan from Portland. We immedietly became friends, and I have a feeling that it will be a very successful transfer.

Love you all and would love to hear from you. Enjoy some pics
Stay sweet- Elder Beary

My comp finishes his mission this week. Hopefully we will end it with a baptism! Other than that, honestly nothing to talk about. New years was just like christmas, but with a lot more fireworks, The computer place blocked dropbox so i can't send pics on that anymore. New years was Elder Connollys 1 year mark and the 3rd was my comps 2 year mark. Other than that, just teaching, studdying, and walking. New comps for Elder Hogge and I next monday. Also, we both have to go to salta, (7 hour bus ride) tomorrow night at 11. we have to finish paperwork so we can stay in the country. Not to important if you ask me,. who needs to be legal. Everybody in the ward is going to the temple this week, (14 hour bus ride to buenos aires) so we will have to look for lunch appointments.

Last tuesday was pretty normal, but at the end of the day when we were waiting for the collectivo, it got pretty interesting. We had been waiting in a weird spot for about 50 minutes when my comp took my advice and started to walk to a different place. But we didn´t go to the normal spot where 2 different collectivos pass, we went to another random spot and Elder Echeverria said if the other one passes, we can run to where it picks us up so it passed and we ran, and ran, and ran. And he was leading and took us to a street that wasn't even close to the collectivo. So we missed it, then I told him we will walk to where I wanted to go, and as we turned the corner, a different one was coming. So we ran about two more blocks and got on. Once we were on, we recognized the people on the bus, it was the bus that passed by where we were originally waitng. ´Next time, im the guide´-Me

Christmas eve.
I bought a little christmas tree from a lady for 10 dollars. that was probably the highlight. Then just shared christmas messages with members and investigators. We then had dinner with the Ruiz Morenos (The guy we baptized) and that was really good. We ate a lot and sung hymns. They took us home at 11. We waited for midnight, because here, everybody stays awake and at 12 they shoot off fireworks. And the story of santa is that he comes when you least expect him, and you cant see him because of the fireworks. Kinda lame, but the night was fun.
Christmas I got to skype home. that was a solid time to see everybody. navidad.mormon.org

Friday was really hot and we walked a ton.

Saturday We tried to teach silvia (New investigator with closest baptism date) 3 times but she wasn´t home or was busy.

Sunday she didn´t come to church, but we had two others come so it wasn´t too bad. We also found out that elder hogge and i (Newbees) had to go to salta (7 hours away) to sign papers on monday.

Monday wasn´t pday because they made it wednesday. They don´t want us working on new years eve. So we went to chango mas and bought food, and got all ready for our trip, when the secretary called and said we weren´t going, and that we will go next week. That sucks because next week we will have to go on pday. So we worked monday and it wasnt too sucessful, I guess thats why its pday.

Tuesday we had to go to central for a meeting to discuss the goal for baptisms next month. the last two months goals were 22 and 20, but we only got 6 and 8. So it was my turn to say a number and i said 14, because thats how many companionships are in the zone, but everybody was so optomistic, (just like last month) that we could get 22. Its hard to think logically like I do when everybody else doesn´t.

That was my week. Have a good 5 days and I´ll write on Monday
